Algolia for a Price Comparison Site

I am in the midst of building a price comparison site and am interested in using Algolia for search. My query is about the current pricing structure.

Say I have 10,000 products on my site and prices are updated hourly for each product. This isn’t from one set location, but via different API’s and datafeeds. In terms of operations, does the updating of prices count as an operation? If yes, using Algolia clearly wouldn’t be too feasible given its pricing structure compared to alternatives.

Hi @smithyy,

Generally, any write operation (create, update, delete) of a record is a charged operation in Algolia. Based on your description, yes, updating 10,000 records every hour will count as 10,000 operations each hour.
