Yesterday was a record-breaking day in Paris.
Yes, folks, the sun has finally arrived and the mercury hit 28 degrees (centigrade) in the afternoon. It hasn’t been anywhere near that hot for 109 years, when the temperature on April 19th was recorded at 25.7C.
So we broke out the cold drinks, and the summer hats, and took the opportunity to celebrate some of the makers from the Algolia Community at the latest Search Party event at our Rue d’Amsterdam HQ in Paris.
This month we had:
- Matic Zavadlal, creator of Emma-cli, showing us how to build command line interfaces using Ink
- Kevin Granger connected Algolia to 1100+ other services through Zapier, how did he do that!?
- Michael Bouvy, CTO at Click & Mortar, told us all about visibility rules and security in search results and how to restrict search access on the API level
We also broke out the Algolia Wok and cooked up noodles for everyone.
As well as live streaming the whole event we have the archive talks ready for you here, so take a look and do drop any comments or thoughts below:
The new hats from the Algolia Summer Swag Collection seemed to go down well, too:
If you like great tech talks, lovely food, drinks and spiffy looking summer headwear, why not join us at our next Search Party on May 24th 2018 at the AlgoliaHQ in Paris.
If you’re interested then please get signed up on Eventbrite, we’ll be taking a look at the world of iOS.
