Automatic Radius Limit

Hi,

I have an app which need to do a localized search in a dataset with relatively few data. The automatic radius feature seems very interesting in our case, because the desentity of our results can be very diffrent.

However, the doc say :

By default, Algolia will expand the search radius around the specified latitude and longitude until approximatively 1000 hits are found. If the area is dense, the radius will be smaller. If it’s not dense, the radius will be bigger.

Is there a way to set a value smaller than 1000 to “stop” the expension of the radius (for the moment, 1000 is more than all my data)

Thank you in advance
Pierre

Hi there,

Did you consider using our hitsPerPage attribute in order to limit the number of results per page? That should help you controlling how much items are shown at once !

Let me know what you think!

Indeed,
I didn’t think about pagination, but it seems that can be my solution (as the records are sort by distance).
Thank you !
