Basic Update Index from Laravel

Used to just use php artisan scout:import but now that my index is 10,000+ I thought it best to update as I add.

I tried this in tinker:

$contact = Contact::where('id', 12461)->first();

to grab the new entry, then

to let Algolia know…but it doesn’t seem to be working.

Can someone help me understand what is off here?

Hi @jim2,

It looks correct. Are you using the Laravel queue?

Can post the full code snippets here? Can you check that the code is called by adding “dd(‘here’)” in the method toSearchableArray() of your Contact model?
