Thanks for the response!
I am just doing a multi-index search and I want to just have the searchbox and hits display in sibling components. The hits themselves will be displayed as two instances of a results component on the same page. I still have an instance of
connectAutoComplete (as I thought I would want to use an autocomplete lib but decided against it) and was just getting annoyed with getting the right handlers placed while having to parse the hits and trying to keep it all from looking like spaghetti.
I have it working now, I was just trying to see if I could leverage my redux store to make the presentation component cleaner and not have to pass props down to both the search results and search text box.
I would like access to both sets of hits in a separate component than my search box essentially.
Sorry to throw this in as well, but I was wondering if you could point me to a good resource for the highlight connector. I’ve been checking out the API doc but keep getting an error along the lines of “unable to read [attribute] of undefined” and am unable to parse what the highlight function is doing to debug. I’m not so great with some of the terminology.
