How can I hide “search by algolia” signature at the bottom of the suggestions dropdown in Algolia Place Api?

Hi @janki.soni,

Thanks for contacting Algolia. Are you referring to the text: “Search by Algolia using OpenStreetMap Data”:

If you can use CSS, you can attempt to hide the element with CSS class: class="ap-footer-osm"

So it is really not required by Algolia to show this?

Hi @pascalmayr2,

The free usage of Algolia Places does require you to display this “Search by Algolia” mention.
Sorry for the confusion!

Hi Marie,

does this class changed autocomplete-footer-branding? At least it shows in the code if I check it in the developer tools.

My code does not work:

#autocomplete-footer-branding {
display: none !important;
}

Also your suggestion with ap-footer-osm does not work.

Do you have any tip for me?

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards
Christian

Hey there.

If you’re using Algolia Places for free, then we require to leave the “Search by Algolia” mention visible.

Also, please bear in mind that we’re sunseting Places in May 31st 2022. You can still use it for now, but we don’t recommend starting a new project that’s meant to go in production, because you’ll then have to find a replacement.
