Override the default css for magento2

Hello, I’m struggling with the customisation of the Algolia M2 module. What I’m doing is the creation on a custom theme, I’m trying to override the default algoliasearch.css as explained here but is not mentioned where the overrides should be placed.
Like many other modules, I’m trying to override the file with this hierarchy structure:
But is not working, I tried also Algolia_AlgoliaSearch/web/internals. Obviously, I’m in dev mode and I’m flushing the cache every time.
How am I suppose to override the css?
