Re: Removing Content from Autocomplete

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to remove the “content” underneath a product in the Autocomplete dropdown? http://d.pr/i/CXor

I just want the product name.

Hi @thomas,

You could hide the description with CSS. Here is a rule that should do the trick:

.suggestion-post-content {
    display: none !important;
}

Let me know if that works :wink:

Hi @rayrutjes

Thanks for that!

Hi @rayrutjes

Just one thing. It works when I type straight into the search bar. http://d.pr/i/nWH4

However if I type in the search bar, press enter and then the instant search page come up and then I go back to the search bar, the contents show again - http://d.pr/i/P22I

I think you might suffer from some stale caching.
You should either make sure you incremented the version of the CSS file to force it’s reload, or you could operate a hard refresh of your browser.

Definitely something that you users shouldn’t experience.
