Setting up rules for specific location pages

We are a marketplace where people upload items to. Like an AirBnb for camera equipment. As such, our items in the search are updated a lot, and we don’t have a lot of control over them.

We are trying to use Algolia for our search pages and as part of that we want to create a specific page like “Cameras in London”, where we only show items in the category cameras and around London. The query itself is not difficult to do, BUT we also want to make sure that the first x amount of items are preselected by us (For SEO purposes).

We figured that the easiest way to handle this is by having rules, so we don’t need development competences to do it.

What would be the best way of handling that? As far as I can see, there is no way to specify something like AroundLatLng in a rule?

It could be handled by having a field on the item that holds what location the item belongs to, but that is not particularly flexible when we want to go into new locations, and I would really prefer to give the editors in Algolia the possibility to handle this themselves, without doing extra work in the indexing for each location

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you store the geo location for each camera, you can use Geolocation capabilities of algolia to filter your results around a location. Filter Results Around a Location | How to | Managing Results | Guide | Algolia Documentation
